Led by the Spirit – College Team

We’ve had the pleasure to be led by our dear Indian uncle all week. He is a man totally and fully led by the Spirit, and he goes forth without fear (which after all, is the definition of the Spirit=power, love, sound judgement). We stayed in a very dark place very far from the outside world, and the presence of believers was essentially nonexistent. But these are the places to which we have been called.

I am often reminded of the place where it’s said, “If no one praises my name, even the stones and rocks will cry out.” (I can’t find it now, so it’s not exact) In these places, the beauty of snow-capped mountains cries out the truth about God like nothing else I’ve ever seen. With few to praise Him, nature SCREAMS that He is the King.

Led by the Spirit, we walked around the village, talking and sharing with people of peace, but also being careful because we can’t share with everyone. We pleaded desperately with God to bind away the darkness, especially in the temples and visible strongholds of the enemy. All people have very strong faith in something, but they are all still looking for something, as if there’s a hole in their beliefs. I never imagined it would be this easy to engage people, after things being much more difficult in America. The people here just haven’t ever heard the truth. But every belief system points to the real thing, you just have to know where.

They have put up every possible attempt to stop the truth from spreading, but it will fail. As Paul says, “This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained!” And, “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me- the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”

We can do nothing if we hold on to anything of our own. We were able to give the Word to a few people and talk and pray over some strongholds. We will probably never see the results of our work, but we know it is essential. Praise the Lord that we are blessed to be a small part of leading even one soul back to Him.
