Hello Friends,
I hope this update finds you all doing well and living each day to the glory of our Father. We’ve had a wonderful week adjusting to life in the north. Thankfully it’s much cooler here. We have been incredibly blessed in our accommodations. One look out the front window reveals a breathtaking view of God’s handiwork. From majestic mountains to flourishing greenery, it’s impossible not to stop and stare. We have also had the privilege of working with another girl who is staying with us. This additional teammate has been an amazing asset. This week has been spent laying the groundwork for the rest of the summer. We have had the opportunity to meet several students our age, and hope to invest in our peers’ eternal lives as we continue to build relationships throughout our time here. Extensive training on methods of sharing has served to equip us for His work. Our task is now to go out and live what we have learned, and we are discovering new truths each day. The Lord has been faithful, and we trust that He is going before us and preparing the way. My heart has been reminded of our ever-present need to look to the Lord in every situation through Moses’ humble recognition of his reliance on God’s presence in Exodus 33:14-15 “And He said, ‘My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.’ Then he said to Him, ‘If Thy presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here.’ ” As we continue in our time here, please keep the hearts of this nation in your prayers. Ask that the Lord will open doors for opportunities to connect and share with our peers. Ask for continual guidance and sensitivity to His Spirit. Ask that our friends here would be refreshed and encouraged by our time with them. Thank you so much for your constant prayers and concerns. We firmly believe that the Lord wants to do a great work here, and we are honored to be a part of it.
“And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
With Love and for His Glory,
