Today was our last day with the Chort’i people. We played soccer with the locals. As we all knew before the game began, the out come of this game was not going to end well for the gringos. The girls and guys had separate games, with the boys playing first. As expected, the Guatemalans won, with the Americans not even scoring in both games. But even with these crushing defeats it was still a good time for the entire village.
After the game, we went to the community center to watch a movie. We had the largest turn out of the whole week. After the movie, we stood under the stars and were struck by the beauty that God had made. We ended the night with a devotional by Heather.
